Day Eight by Dave Schultheis
Monday, May 26, 2003 - Leesburg, Virginia
I slept well, was awake at 6 a.m. but went back to sleep and didn't get up until closer to 9:00 o'clock. I noted that it had rained overnight, and I was glad that I was warm inside, rather than sleeping outdoors in the rain.
I dressed and went out with my niece in the car. We combined her errands and her showing me some of the places in and around Tyson's Corner that I would need to know when attending her wedding in October. We located the hotel and the building where the wedding would be held, then stopped at Chick-fil-A restaurant for lunch (we don't have them where I live, but they serve chicken sandwiches), stopped at the grocery store (we do have those where I live), then returned to the condominium.
I spent the rest of the day lounging around the house and resting. It felt good after several hard days of riding. I took a nap, watching a little television, watched a little more television, had a light supper, did some packing and loading, set the alarm for 6:00 a.m. and went to bed around 10 p.m.
Miles for the day = 0. Miles for the trip = 3481.
Tomorrow: rain, then sunshine, then heat, and a seven hundred mile day.
